SaleVerdict exists to answer one question with data: “is this actually a good price?” This page is the whole recipe — nothing about how the site works is a secret.
How we collect prices
Once a day, at the same hour, we record the listed price, the strikethrough “list price,” and stock status for every product at every store we track. We collect what a US shopper sees, in USD. We don’t apply coupons, memberships, or app-only prices — so the table shows the price everyone can get, and we say so next to it.
We collect politely: once a day, one request at a time per store, with a minimum five-second gap between requests (or a longer crawl delay when the store asks for one), and the transparent price-compare user agent. We never disguise the collector, rotate addresses, or work around a block. Ordinary failures get at most two retries, two hours apart. At the first 403 or 429 response we stop that store’s remaining requests for the day and honor Retry-After. We then look for a permitted route — an official API, an affiliate feed, or written permission. Until we have one, that store’s data stops where it stopped, and we say so rather than quietly dropping it.
What we track right now
50 products across 3 stores, daily since Jul 23 — 4 days of history so far. This list grows as we verify each new store, and this page is generated from what we actually have.

The verdict
A product’s typical price is its median over the last 90 days of observations. Today’s price is compared against that — never against the store’s claimed list price.
“Lowest price” always means lowest since we started tracking, with the start date shown. We never claim “all-time low” — we can’t see all time, and neither can anyone else.
Claimed vs real discount
When a store shows “40% OFF” against its own list price, we print that number next to the discount against the store’s own 90-day median. Sometimes they match. Often they don’t. Stores that are permanently “on sale” get labeled exactly that.
Who runs this
SaleVerdict is built by the small team that also runs K-SALE, a K-beauty store. That’s exactly why the rules are strict: when K-SALE is in a table it is just another store — same collection, same verdicts, same sort order, no badges except the one that says “our store.” If our own shop isn’t the best price, the table says so, plainly. K-SALE is not among the stores listed above yet; it will carry that label the day it is.
Outbound links may be affiliate links that earn us a commission. They never affect prices, verdicts, or ranking, and the disclosure sits directly above every price table rather than buried here. Where a link pays us nothing, it is still marked the same way — you should never have to work out which is which.
Corrections
Bad data happens: a parser misreads a price, a store swaps a listing. When we find (or you report) a wrong observation, we invalidate it — it stays in our records but out of every statistic — and the affected page shows a correction note. We don’t silently rewrite history; the whole product is history.

No countdown timers. No “3 left in stock!” No fake urgency of any kind. We’re the site that calls that stuff out — the fastest way to die would be doing it ourselves.
